Egri Csillag This wine comes from the Estate's most excellent old plantations. It was born from the crossbreeding of native varieties of the Carpathian Basin. It was made from almost equal amounts of Italian Riesling, Leányka, and Szürkebarát wine, supplemented with a little yellow muscat. The wines were fermented and matured in 500 l oak barrels for 6 months, 20% of which were new barrels with the first filling. The white flagship wine of our winery carries within itself the qualities of its components, the flattering charm of Leányka, the minerality of Olaszriesling, the sharpness of Sürkebarát and the fruitiness of Muscovite, complemented by the nutty and smoky character of the new cask wines. White wine for real holidays, recommended for pasta and fish dishes at 14-16 C. This wine comes from the estate's old vineyards having the best potential. It comes from the blend of ancient varieties of the Carpathian Basin. The blend consists of lényka, welsh riesling and pinot gris in almost identical quantities completed by some muscatel. Basic wines were fermented and aged in 500 liter oak barrels - of which 30% are brand new - for 6 months.
