Top notes - neroli, bergamot, agarwood, leather scent - are more volatile and are the first we perceive. In general, top notes are light and fresh. Their intensity disappears easily after about 10-15 minutes after applying the perfume.
Middle notes - oriental notes, oud, saffron - They are felt immediately after the top notes, they constitute the essence of the perfume, and in quality perfumes they last for a long time.
Base notes - woody notes, spices, pepper, tobacco, amber - They are heavy and rich, they persist the longest in a perfume.
