Polyamide suture (PL) is a sterile, non-absorbable, synthetic monofilament surgical thread composed of polyamide. D-tek PL suture material is available in blue or black for better visibility in tissue and in the following sizes: 10/0 USP – 2 USP. D-tek NL meets all the requirements imposed by the United States Pharmacopeia (U.S.P.) and the European Pharmacopoeia for sterility and non-absorbable suture materials. The needle is made of high quality medical grade stainless steel, sharp enough to penetrate tissue with minimal resistance and offering optimal elasticity without the risk of breakage or plastic deformation. The product complies with the requirements of European Directive 93/42/EEC. The threads are packaged in individual sterile packaging. It is indicated for soft tissue suturing and ligation, including in vascular and microvascular surgery.
