I decided to write this book almost a decade and a half ago, after I agreed to work on a project about the biographies of the most important Romanian authors present in the school curriculum, for a publishing house that no longer exists, but where I learned many valuable things; Going through the memories of these authors, I found in each, without exception, a common point: they all wrote about the people who influenced their childhood, about those beings who made their lives take one path or another.
